Platinum path, missables, and the Seal that disables trophies.

This Mortal Shell II trophy guide is the platinum-style path for Mortal Shell II (Cold Symmetry / Playstack): PlayStation 53 trophies versus Steam / Xbox 52 achievements, the collect gates, three missables, and the Seal you must never wear. It is not a fake 53-row dump. Verified August 18, 2026 · Steam.

PlayStation 5 lists 53 trophies. That count includes the platinum. Steam and Xbox list 52 achievements. The extra PlayStation row is the cup, not a hidden 53rd story flag. A Mortal Shell II achievements hunt on PC is the same work minus that one icon. This Mortal Shell II trophy guide will not pad a 53-row table with guessed names to look finished.

| Store | Count | What the extra row is |
|---|---|---|
| PlayStation 5 | 53 trophies | Includes platinum |
| Steam | 52 achievements | No platinum cup |
| Xbox Series X|S | 52 achievements | No platinum cup |
| Difference | 1 | The PlayStation platinum — not a PC-only secret |
If you are on Steam or Xbox, “platinum” still means the same completion: every listed Mortal Shell II achievement except the cup you cannot earn. The collect gates, the three missables, and the fourth-Seal ban do not change by store. Do not start a second save because a PC list “looks shorter.”
Insider-style and PowerPyx-style lists already name the collect cups, the individual weapon / sidearm pops, three missables, Ascension, and Seeking the Past. Hidden bosses also sit on those lists as trophy fights. Remaining titles — including exact Shell-collect and Bond-max cup names — stay TBA. A guessed 53-name spreadsheet is a second bug.
Third-party roadmaps clock a platinum-style run around 40–60 hours. That is a community range, not Cold Symmetry’s timer. First-run combat plus a cleanup pass for Stoned, Sat Nav, Heavy Metal, and 40 Shell Memories is what fills the high end. A story-only walk without collects is a different clock and does not belong on this page.
Once the count is clear, the next job is which collects actually sit on the list — not every pretty item in the world.
A Mortal Shell II trophy guide completion is a collect run, not a boss-only clear. The required sets this site trusts: all eight shells, max Bond on one Shell, all 40 Shell Memories (8 hosts × 5), all melee, all sidearms, max one weapon, all tarstones (Stoned), all Ova, all Map Fragments (Sat Nav), cleanse all beacons, and all Lute Tracks (Heavy Metal). Exact remaining cup names stay TBA.
| Collect | Trophy / note | Where this wiki tracks it |
|---|---|---|
| All playable Shells | Required — cup name TBA (do not count Harros) | shells |
| Max Bond on one Shell | Required — cup name TBA | shells |
| All Shell Memories | 40 = 8 × 5 — required | shells |
| All melee | Lord of War | weapons |
| All sidearms | Guns Lots of Guns | sidearms |
| Max one weapon | Max out a Weapon — Tarforge / Franz | weapons |
| All Tarstones | Stoned — ~75 named; full dump TBA | tarstones |
| All Ova | Collect all Ova — count TBA | beacons |
| All Map Fragments | Sat Nav — fragment count TBA | This page + walkthrough pins |
| Cleanse all Beacons | Cleanse All Beacons — full name list TBA | beacons |
| All Lute Tracks | Heavy Metal — Troubadour’s Lute | sidearms |
Lord of War is the melee set. Guns Lots of Guns is the ranged set. Do not mix them. Individual pops this site already names: Deep Cuts (Axe and Dagger / Axatana), Big Boi (Great Martyr’s Blade), Just the Tip (Black Needle), Like Clockwork (Clockwork Scythe), Stop – Hammer Time (Obsidian Hammer), Cut You Down to Size (Veteran’s Battle Axe), and Spiked (Caged Hystrix — type TBA, do not force it onto either list). Sidearm pops: Old School (Forgotten Crossbow), Chop Chop (Salvaged Trebuchaxe), Old Painless (Triarch Repeater), Beautiful Baby (Cursed Child), Speared (Ballistazooka). Iconoclast and Nail Shot are starters — no hunt. Remaining melee / gun titles, including Hallowed Sword and the eighth sidearm, stay TBA.
Each keepable Shell has five memories. Eight hosts is 40. Harros is prologue only — he is not a ninth memory stack. Glimpses at the Shell Keeper buy those lines. Max Bond on one Shell is a separate cup from watching every memory. Seeking the Past is a named trophy on third-party lists with unlock-bug reports; whether it is the memories cup stays TBA until the in-game list is recaptured. Do not invent a mapping to look tidy.
PowerPyx-style lists mark three missable Mortal Shell II achievements: Mid Summer?, Peter’s Perfect Parry, and No, You Still Can’t Win. This Mortal Shell II trophy guide warns on those names. It will not invent NPC walks, dialogue picks, or arena steps until a recapture proves them. If a writeup guesses a how-to, treat that guess as unverified.
| Trophy | Status | What this page will say |
|---|---|---|
| Mid Summer? | Missable — PowerPyx-style | Warn. Do not invent the festival / NPC walk |
| Peter’s Perfect Parry | Missable — PowerPyx-style | Warn. Do not invent the parry target or room |
| No, You Still Can’t Win | Missable — PowerPyx-style | Warn. Do not invent the encounter |
| Everything else named here | Assumed cleanup-legal until proven otherwise | Still collect as you go — do not wait for a second cycle |
A missable flag means the window can close. It does not mean this page knows the window. Mid Summer? looks seasonal by name; that is not a confirmed Festival pin. Peter’s Perfect Parry sounds like a named parry check; that is not a confirmed combat drill. No, You Still Can’t Win is a named encounter, not a boss walkthrough. Rooms, NPCs, and fail conditions stay TBA.

The fourth Seal near Marrow Keep. It is easy mode. It disables achievements on that save. A Mortal Shell II trophy guide run wears one of the three legal Seals — Infinite (Parry), Untarnished (Guard / Perfect Guard), or Vatra (Harden / Perfect Harden) — and leaves the fourth in the dirt until NG+ / a second cycle you no longer care about unlocking.

| Item | On a trophy run | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Infinite Seal | Legal | Parry — opening combat trial, left path from the Keep |
| Untarnished Seal | Legal | Guard / Perfect Guard — safer default while you learn |
| Vatra Seal | Legal | Harden / Perfect Harden — messy angles and add rooms |
| Fourth Seal (easy mode) | Never | Disables achievements. Name TBA (Slayer / Gloomslayer aliases in writeups) |
| Harros after prologue | Do not plan around him | Not a ninth Shell and not a trophy host |
The fourth Seal sits near the opening trial, next to the three you are supposed to learn. It is not a “story difficulty” you flip in a menu after the credits. Equip it and Mortal Shell II achievements stop tracking. Leave it. Combat is the timing sheet for the three legal Seals. Beginner guide is the first-hour walk that already says the same ban.
Optional combat extras exist — executions can refill health on an easier setting; “turn off the sun” is the harder lean. Those are not the fourth Seal. This page only hard-bans the easy-mode Seal that kills the trophy list. Camera (Immersive vs Action) does not unlock or block cups.
With the Seal ban locked, the leftover question is order: what you collect on the first walk versus what you mop after the story.
One save. Three legal Seals only. Walk the walkthrough Beacon order, pick up every named collect you pass, and keep the three missables on a sticky note. Cleanup last: leftover Tarstones, Map Fragments, Lute Tracks, memories, and hidden trophy bosses whose rooms are still TBA. This is a Mortal Shell II trophy guide pass, not a speedrun.
| Pass | Do this | Do not do this |
|---|---|---|
| Hours 1–8 | Beacon / Ova habit, first Shells, Iconoclast to Franz, legal Seal only | Equip the fourth Seal “just to see” |
| Mid game | Weapon and sidearm rooms as the walkthrough hits them; bank Glimpses | NG+ reset to “fix” a missable you have not confirmed |
| Story close | Keep the missable names in view; do not rush past a named event | Invent a Mid Summer? / Peter / Can’t Win walk from a forum guess |
| Cleanup | Stoned · Sat Nav · Heavy Metal · leftover memories · hidden bosses with real pins | Wear every Tarstone at once — ten is still the cap |
The walkthrough is the spine. Tips stops Resolve waste from padding the 40–60h estimate. You do not need a second file for “collects only” if you pick up stones, fragments, weapons, and Ova on the same road. You do need a second file if you already wore the fourth Seal.
Third-party roadmaps report Stoned and Seeking the Past failing to unlock for some saves. Version and patch status stay TBA. If a collect counter looks full and the cup is dark, write down the build, then ask on the official Discord — do not delete a 50-hour file because a forum thread said “bugged.” This page will not claim a workaround it has not verified.
When the pass order is enough, leftover questions sit in the FAQ — including whether you need the first game, and why Steam shows 52.
PlayStation 5: 53 trophies including platinum. Steam and Xbox: 52 achievements. The extra PlayStation row is the platinum cup.
No. Steam and Xbox have no platinum cup. The completion work is the same 52 achievements.
Third-party lists estimate 40–60 hours. Treat that as an estimate, not an official timer.
PowerPyx-style lists mark three: Mid Summer?, Peter’s Perfect Parry, and No, You Still Can’t Win. How-to steps stay TBA — this page will not invent them.
The fourth Seal near Marrow Keep. It is easy mode. Never equip it on a trophy run. Wear Infinite, Untarnished, or Vatra.
Lord of War is all melee. Guns Lots of Guns is all sidearms. Individual weapon trophies (Deep Cuts, Big Boi, Old School, and the rest named on this page) sit on those two lists.
Collect all Tarstones. Some reports say the unlock can fail. Version / fix status is TBA.
Find all Map Fragments. Exact fragment count stays TBA.
Play all Lute Tracks. Troubadour’s Lute is the named sidearm. Track list TBA.
40 — five per playable Shell, eight hosts. Harros does not add a ninth stack. Seeking the Past is a named trophy with bug reports; whether it is this cup stays TBA.
No. Mortal Shell II is a standalone sequel. You do not need the first game’s list.
No. The game is single-player. There is no co-op cup.
A named trophy on community footage. How-to and whether it is story or collect stay TBA. Do not invent a walk.
Not on this page. Remaining names stay TBA. This Mortal Shell II trophy guide will not invent the missing rows.
Beacon order: walkthrough. Resolve habits: tips. Hosts: shells. Melee: weapons. Guns and lute: sidearms. Stones: tarstones.
